The climate emergency demands definite answers

The row over the proposed go-ahead for the Cambo oil and gas field off Shetland has gathered pace this week as Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has come under pressure from the environmental sector to take a stand against it, while pressured by business leaders and the right to put the economy first. It was the subject of this column available to read in full at this link to The Scotsman.

If the First Minister had turned round to those same kids and said yes, the Scottish Government will oppose Cambo, it wouldn’t solve climate change. But it would be a start because actions speak louder than words.
